Our School Day

The School Office is open from 8.30am until 4.30pm. where you will be able to speak to Mrs Kelly Carter, our Office Manager, Mrs Roy Dempsey and Mrs Andrea Harvey, our Admin Assistants, regarding all queries. Absences can now be reported 24/7 via our ParentMail app.

 At the start of the school day Reception, Year 1, 2 and 3 children enter via the lower playground school gates. Year 4, 5 and 6 children enter via the central courtyard near the school office. Parents may drop and pick up their children from their respective courtyard. Parents do not have to wait in the courtyard or on the infant playground, but can drop and go from 8:45am, with the children making their own way to their classroom for their early work supervised by their class teacher. Class Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) are on duty in the morning at the various entrance points to the different courtyard areas, do please share any important messages that you wish to be passed onto your child's class teacher.

At the end of the day you may come into the courtyard areas to pick up your child, where teachers will be available, or arrange another suitable meeting point such as the Infant playground to pick up, especially if you have more than one child to collect. Year 5 and 6 children, particularly Year 6, are encouraged if they live within walking distance to be trusted to walk home to help develop their independence. Please do let the class teacher if this is the case. Year 3 and 4 children are released to independently find their parents at their agreed pick up point, if they cannot find the person due to pick them up they are expected to either report back to their class teacher or go to the school office to ensure they are safe. Reception, Year 1 and 2 children are only released directly to their parent or childminder, do please let the school know if there is a change to the normal person due to pick your child up.

An example timetable for each year group is available in each year groups page for further information. Timetables are subject to change according to the various projects being taught or if we are running a particular themed day or week such as 'World Book Week' or 'Sports Week'.
