'My daughter is in year 1 and she has absolutely thrived at Takeley. She's a very shy quiet girl and watching her grow in confidence has been wonderful. The teachers are really approachable and communication between parents and the teachers is excellent. Mr Cosslett is always present at the school gate no matter what weather, there to welcome the children which is lovely to see. A great school, I highly recommend Takeley Primary.'

I have a 7 year old son in year 3 and he enjoys coming to school and has loved every teacher along the way. The school has a great way of dealing with my son, guiding him in the right direction when needed and are very supportive of his/my needs and concerns. My eldest who is at secondary now holds very fond memories of his time at Takeley Primary school and has asked if he can go back, he has ADHD and did struggle academically but I felt he was encouraged to show his strengths with art and also sports where he participated in district sports on several occasions, bringing home the medals and most importantly a big smile on his face. :)'

'I am a grandparent dropping off my granddaughter in year I. I think Takeley is an amazing school. my 3 children went to a tiny little village school in Albury where there were only about 50 children in the whole of the school, Takeley is much bigger but still every bit as friendly and personal. The teachers are always present morning and evening along with the head and they all will have time to speak with you. this year has been like no other but Takeley have done their best to keep the school as safe and normal as possible. I would have no hesitation in recommending Takeley, it is simply amazing'

Our son graduated here and two of our children are still attending. They’ve always been looked after and taught very well and made to feel safe and provided with a very friendly environment. Any issues or concerns raised by us the parents have been dealt with utmost respect, very swiftly and thoroughly. Staff members are very helpful and friendly. 'From previous schools up north I can honestly say how proud I am to have my children at Takeley Primary school , not only do you push them to do their best, but have also noticed standards are way above the north. I've never known a 4 year old to be reading books and doing maths, I think it's truly amazing and my child is the youngest in the class too! Everything is dealt with promptly and parents are listened too. The confidence my children have gotten since moving here has been noted by family members saying they've noticed the massive improvement. Their social skills have also improved. Absolutely no regrets what so ever.'

'We have two children in Year 4 and Year 2. My children love coming to school and are always welcomed and supported by all the staff. My children are always talking about how much fun they have when learning in class! This year has been a tough year for everyone. All the staff at Takeley have worked so hard and supported the children and parents during home learning. The teacher’s are always so supportive and the communication between the teachers and parents is excellent! They always come back and answer any questions or worries we have. I highly recommend Takeley Primary. We feel very proud that our children are part of Takeley Primary.'

'Our son is in year 2 at Takeley Primary. The school has been so supportive right from the start. This year has been difficult for all for many different reasons and we could not have asked for better organisation, communication and direction from the Head and teachers. During the long period of home schooling the teachers adaption to the new way of learning was fantastic. The teachers in year 1 and 2 were directly on hand via class dojo and nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend Takeley Primary School.'

'Our daughter joined Reception in September and absolutely loves coming to school. When I heard that the expectation was for her to be able to read by Christmas I didn’t believe it, but she can and I just think that is testament to the quality of teaching, it’s been great. Every member of staff we have had contact with has been friendly and welcoming which has meant communication has been easy, particularly with her class teacher! The school has a lovely atmosphere and even the feeling when standing at the school gate is one of community (even from behind a mask!) Thank you!'
